MrSolo Studios
Founded more than 30 years ago in Brazil, MrSolo has established its position in the entertainment industry by producing Animations, Advertisements, Games, TV Shows, and more. Through its branch in Canada, MrSolo now entrenched itself in the North American live-action film market.
MrSolo has partnered with clients such as Warner Brothers, Pepsi, Volkswagen, FIAT, Antarctica, Nestlé, Ambev, Mattel, Coca Cola, among others.
Recently MrSolo was awarded the CANNES SILVER LION MOBILE and obtained one of its projects approved by the CMF.

Marcelo Ricardo Ortiz
Marcelo is an award-winning animator, director, and writer with more than 20 years of experience in the industry. A graduate of the Bellas Artes University in São Paulo with a bachelor’s in fine arts, Marcelo earned his animation certificate at Vancouver Film School and Animation Mentor. He went on to win several awards and international film festivals before earning a Masters in Visual Arts from SENAC.
Marcelo is the Co-Founder of Faculdade Melies, one of the most respected film colleges in Brazil with more than 6.000 alumni, and MrSolo Animation Studios. The latter responsible for creating and directing 3D and 2D animations for various advertising agencies, TV channels, and other media. MrSolo Animation Studios has partnered with clients such as Warner Brothers, Pepsi, VolksWagen, FIAT, Antarctica, Nestlé, Ambev, Mattel, Coca Cola, among others.
In 2012, Marcelo moved to Vancouver with his wife and two kids becoming a Canadian citizen a few years later. During this time, Marcelo worked on Emmy Winner Dreamworks/Netflix "Dinotrux" (2015), "Dinotrux Supercharged" (2017), Nickelodeon's "44 Cats" (2018) and "Blaze and the Monster Machines" (2014).
Marcelo has been working at Wildbrain since 2018 as an Episode Director. In his own time, Marcelo works on personal projects hoping to one day have the opportunity to tell his own stories.
